[delusions and grandeur] -- About Me

The Rhyme to the Reason of Chaos (About Me)

Hello, 7hir7een here. So you'd like to know a little bit about me, eh?

Well, for starters, I'm a student in the United States. I've graduated with a B.S. in Biology, and I'm moving on to pharmacy school. As such, most of my time is (or should be) spent doing classwork and studying.

When I have free time, I use it in a pretty standard way. I'd say that listening to music, reading, and living on the internet certainly take up large chunks of my free time. Sometimes sleep gets thrown in there. Sleep is underrated. And then of course, there's that whole thing where I play video/computer games, which seems to seep into my not-free time. Honestly, I don't watch very much television anymore. It seems like the best I can do is to keep up with 3 or 4 shows at a time. Even then, I still have to watch some episodes online.

I do read a lot. Books are very important to me. I actively maintain a LibraryThing and/or Goodreads, where I keep track of what I own, what I've read, and what I need to read. It's a great community for book lovers. I am currently participating in a challenge to read 75 books in 2011. I hope to succeed! You can see my progress on my profile, as linked above.

I enjoy rock music. I've been to a few concerts, where I have seen the following bands live (that I can remember):

  • Marcy Playground, Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind (1998)
  • Skillet, Muse, Relient K (2004-2006?)
  • Flyleaf, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace (2010)
  • New Medicine, Hollywood Undead, Stone Sour, Avenged Sevenfold (2011)

I love gadgets. I don't know what I would do without my notebook, netbook, iPhone and NOOKcolor. I would probably be infinitely more productive, but to me, it's just not worth the cost of my sanity.

When I'm not doing those things for enjoyment (or while I'm doing them), you can find me hanging out with friends. Of course, all of this makes it sound like I have free time. That is a lie, just like the cake.

I love cats. Hopefully I don't grow up to be a crazy old cat lady, but I would like to have at least one around at all stages in my life.

I love to laugh and I love to smile. Fortunately, this is a pretty easy thing to accomplish. I like watching comedians on television and visiting funny sites.

One thing I don't like about myself is that I'm horrible at keeping in touch. I don't know why I suck so horribly at it, but I'm sorry. I really do want to. I am just made of fail.
